Our elegant, handcrafted wines are made from fruit grown on our estate vineyards. Howie and Cindy have selected these vineyard blocks after 10 years of tasting the fruit and dreaming about our own wines.

These wines express the Steinbeck Vineyards terroir, that is our distinct sense of place, something unique only to Steinbeck Vineyards. These stylish, elegant wines allow you to discover "who we are" as our vineyards have their own voice now. Our wine program includes four varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Zinfandel and Viognier.

Our program also includes a wild ranch blend called THE CRASH which commemorates a 1956 B-26 plane crash in our field.

THE CRASH, 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot, 7% Viognier, 5% Petite Sirah and 2% Zinfandel gives you opportunity to taste Steinbeck vineyards in one bottle of wine.

Our premium vineyards have been the source of fruit for many wineries for the past 27 years and that fine tradition continues. For our Steinbeck wines we crush less than 1% of our total grape crop.

Winemaker, Steve Glossner has been crafting fine wines from Steinbeck Vineyards since the 2006 harvest, our first vintage. Steve walks our fields with us to taste the fruit. He decides on picking dates based on the taste of the fruit alone, an amazing skill in this day and age of endless measurements to achieve beautiful wines. His reputation in the region is well established because of his work at Justin winery, crafting the Isosceles and other fine Justin wines and port for 8 years. He crafted the Justin 1994 Isosceles which was awarded the prestigious international Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande Trophy for the best blended red wine. Steve and his wife Lola own PasoPort Wine Company. They pour their wines in our tasting room alongside Steinbeck, a perfect compliment to our family heritage and our future.

		2006 Cabernet Sauvignon 300 cases produced - $42.00 PURCHASE This bright, expressive Cabernet is a blend from two differnet blocks of 23 + year old, own rooted vines. The black cherry and chocolate notes reflect the age and elegance of the vineyards in this approachable Cabernet. We believe this wine will age very well. 	2007 Viognier 120 cases produced - $29.00 PURCHASE This beautiful, expressive Viognier is the Steinbeck Family's first vintage. Our vineyards have been given a voice! 		2006 Petite Sirah 82 cases produced -SOLD OUT! The Steinbeck Petite Sirah vineyard provides expression of this varietal to its optimum potential and Steve, our winemaker, has crafted the fruit into this extraordinary wine that exhibits intense color, tannins and flavor with a silky finish. 		2006 Zinfandel 80 cases produced - $38.00 PURCHASE This head-trained Zinfandel on Steinbeck Vineyards produces a fruit forward wine without heavy jam. The fruit is picked when the brightness of the flavors peak and the skins allow for color extraction. A splash of Petite Sirah is added to enhance the wine's complexity and color.
